Los Angeles
Breakfast at Hermosa Beach where a lot of sporty people played volleyball on the beach. After watching we went to Rose Avenue in Venice Beach. This is a nice new upcoming street. We had lunch at Santa Monica Beach and got some sun and then browsed through vintage shops on Melrose Avenue. At Vinotique on Melrose we had a delicious diner in the garden. We wanted to go to an open air cinema, but even in Los Angeles it can rain sometimes. So unfortunately no viewing that night.

We went to the Griffith Observatory up the hill near the Hollywood sign. The weather was great and we had lunch with hummous, wine, tomatoes and raspberries and of course a stunning view of downtown LA. Via highway 110 and 101 we drove to Manhattan Beach where we dropped down on the beach. In the evening we went to MB Post and tried their surprising menu. A beautiful day even though we had a bit of a cold.

Los Angeles
After a quite and relaxing flight with the royal family on board, we arrived in Los Angeles. We drove our rented convertible to Santa Monica. In the vintage store Wasteland we bought some cool vintage stuff, like National Costume heels and a vintage Dolce & Gabanna top. We discovered Mercado and had a delicious ceviche and a glass of wine. A nice place to have a small dinner after shopping in Santa Monica.

Los Angeles
Los Angeles…things started off hecticly with the car keys disappearing in the elevator shaft. So we had to rent a second car after we tried to get the keys out with a magnet on a string. Things were looking more positive when we finally had some good food and wine at Mama D’s in Manhattan Beach. The next day we explored Abbot Kinney Boulevard with beautiful shops and eateries. We went for a short visit on Hollywood boulevard and went to the Grove afterwards.
