Today we made the crossing from Argentina to Uruguay on the Colonia Express company’s boat. You have to make a reservation in advance for that boat trip! We went to the little village Colonia and we found it to be a boring place. But fortunately we discovered La Bohemia where we had a super delicious diner. Rain showers hampered us and we were bored for three hours in the terminal waiting for the boat back to Buenos Aires. A nice experience with interesting stamps in our passports but not really excited about Colonia in the end.
Buenos Aires

After a flight of thirteen-and-a-half-hours we arrived in Buenos Aires. The first time in Argentina for the both of us! We settled in to our room with connecting doors. After a short nap we went to a very nice spot. We entered a flower shop with a secret door that ends up in a great hip trendy restaurant: Floreria Atlantico. Great food, great wine and nice ambience!!! A beautiful hidden secret just behind our hotel. And a MUST to visit!
Rio de Janeiro

On Copacabana beach, where a photo shoot of a commercial took place.
Rio de Janeiro
Rio de Janeiro! At seven o’clock in the morning we started a 45 minute’s exercise on the beach. We ran barefoot along the sea from Copacabana to Sugar Loaf and back. Feeling on top of the world! On Sunday’s the people from Rio, young and old, all exercise on the boulevard of Copacabana while the streets are closed for traffic. Afterwards we went to the Ipanema hippie market. This market is always on sunday near Ipanema Boulevard. We visited the famous stairs of Lapa (also known by the video clip of Michael Jackson ‘They don’t care about us’) and discovered Santa Theresa area. Drinking caparinha’s at sunset on the beach of Copacabana is such a nice part of the day. In the evening we headed to restaurant Zaza in Ipanema. What a wonderful day we had!
